That’s what I’m talking about!

May 23, 2008

May 23, 2008

A huge thank you to RAY & ZINNIA ATESIANO, (one of our bootcampers!!!) who donated a 42″ Plasma TV to raffle off to the new students of FFA at our GRAND OPENING in Davie, tomorrow, Saturday, May 24, 2008- so we are going to do just that!

We are going to raffle off the TV between first 5 people who join-up and use one of our down-payment options!  This is an amazing deal!  The first person will be picked from line at 9am and the raffle will be done publically at 12pm in front of everyone!  Our address is 13678 W State Road 84, Davie, FL 33325.  It is right off of the I-595, off of the Flamingo Rd. exit, across from IKEA, near Markham park, in the Shenandoah Square shopping center next to the Publix.  If you need help finding the place, give us a call at 1-888-332-4967 and one of our staff can direct you.

We are going to have a bounce house for the kids, barbecues going, cotton candy machines, popcorn, the works!  Its going to be a great time!  It is about 40 minutes from the FFA Miami location and right off of the highway.  Feel free to come by with your friends and family and hang out with the rest of us as we celebrate this great moment!
PLUS… later that night we are going to have the UFC shown LIVE! 🙂   I’m going to bring my XBOX 360 over and we’ll battle in my new favorite game, Rockband! Hahaha, hope to see everyone there this Saturday!

4000 Crandon Boulevard , Key Biscayne , Florida 33149

We are at Shelter #7, is it at NORTH BEACH

So as you are driving down the RICKENBACKER CSWY, it becomes CRANDON BLVD.  Keep your eyes open for a sign to your left, (it’s siting low near the groud), that says “North Beach”.  Turn left there.  Shelter #7 is one of the first shelters as you come into the parking lot so don’t drive too far once you get into the lot.  If you have any questions that day, call me 786-333-6094.

7th Annual Lou Gehrig’s Disease 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk

May 6, 2008
Lou Gehrig (1903-1941), was a baseball player for the New York Yankees in the 1920s and 1930s.  His record for most career grand slam home runs still stands today.  His career was cut short by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).  ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that causes degeneration throughout the brain and spinal cord.

This is the next event to mark on your calendars!

On Saturday, May 10, a group of us will be joining in the efforts to create public awareness and to raise funds in order to find a cure for this life-threatening disease.

There is still time to sign up and run with us!

Multiple Sclerosis Bike Ride…we did it!!

May 5, 2008

 …before the race

Hey Girls!

Saturday, May 3, 2008, Christy and I cycled 75 miles with the Annual 2008 MS Bike Ride, a fund raising event for multiple sclerosis.  We started at the UM Bank United Centre and made it all the way to the John Pennekamp Park in Key Largo.
Over 2700 participants were there to show their support.  It was a lot of fun and very well organized.  Aside from some minor discomfort in the saddle area, we feel awesome!  🙂

A big THANK YOU to all those who helped us with donations.  Mucho appreciated!!!
